Driving
Ensure the correct, timely, and safe delivery and sale of MWSCO products to customers. Represent the company in a professional manner while interfacing with customers on product, delivery, pricing or related issues.
Primary Duties:
- Gather and coordinate customer invoices, order requests, telephone and/or email messages regarding product delivery and route sales requirements.
- Load products in to vehicles efficiently and safely.
- Deliver products to customers and/or stock warehouses while abiding by load safety, DOT, TSA and general safe driving guidelines.
- Listen to customer needs and requests and actively sell from the truck using independent judgment and discretion to satisfy the customer. When necessary, provide feedback to store manager regarding customer concerns or problems with pricing, quality, credit or if there is a need for additional follow-up.
- Complete daily pick-up and drop off of cylinder products from the customer.
- Easily adapt to an ever-changing workday
- Ensure accuracy of cylinder exchange and hard goods pricing.
* Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement required. Hazmat endorsement can be obtained after hire.

Inside Sales
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for performing effective inside sales activities as well as assisting with general business operations of the branch. The Inside Sales Representative assumes direct responsibility for providing outstanding customer service, initiating sales activity, and contributing to overall departmental success through effective management of internal and external customer relationships. Additional duties include maintaining stock levels, consulting and advising on customer needs, and conducting sales transactions independently.
Primary duties:
- Present and explain products and services to customers and assist in meeting their needs through all stages of each sales transaction
- Work with Branch Management and Outside Sales Representatives to establish delivery schedules, process orders, set up service calls and other tasks as required to meet the needs of all customers
- Provide quotations and bids for projects or accounts requiring welding equipment
- Set up showroom product displays, stock shelves and maintain general condition of the showroom
- Check in freight/UPS as needed
- Act as a back-up driver for the La Crosse Route Sales Representatives when necessary
Preferred Qualification
Possess a current Class B CDL with HAZMAT endorsement or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Electronics Service Technician
The Electronics Service Technician is responsible for providing effective equipment or process troubleshooting and repair for welding power sources, plasma cutters, cutting tables and other related equipment. The Technician also assumes direct responsibility for providing outstanding customer service during each service, upgrade, or repair transaction from start to finish, using discretion and judgment to satisfy customer needs.
Educational and skills requirements:
Degree in Electronics Technology preferred, or equivalent industry experience. Successful candidates will have an in depth understanding of electrical theory, schematic reading, electro-mechanical systems, electrical component identification. Intermediate level use of Microsoft Office software or equivalent programs (e.g. Word, Excel) required.
Primary duties:
- Responsible for effective equipment or process troubleshooting and repair with in the Service Department.
- Responsible for all aspects of effective customer service within the Service Department.
- Explore and research new products and repair techniques to use within the Service Department.
- Interface with vendors
- Follow through on part orders and resolve issues as they arise, e.g. miss-shipped orders
- Work with existing customers to actively sell products and services
- Follow MWSCO safety policies, procedures, and goals.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to move products or materials weighing 100+ pounds with the assistance of material handling equipment or coworkers.

Purchasing
The Buyer works on-site/in-person and is responsible for buying everything that MWSCO sells. This individual considers price, quality, availability, reliability, and technical support when choosing suppliers and merchandise. The Buyer strives to get the best deal for MWSCO by studying sales records and inventory levels of current stock, identifying suppliers, and keeping up to date with the changes affecting both the supply of, and demand for, products and materials. The Buyer also assumes direct responsibility for the inventory management process.
Primary duties:
- Process orders daily
- Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality and delivery speed
- Determine which products MWSCO will see and how much inventory is needed
- Responsible for general organization and expansion of inventory control processes
- Coordinate and oversee cycle counting process per MWSCO procedures
- Reduce dead stock inventory
- Follow up on transportation and/or shipping issues as needed
- Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination and working relations with all MWSCO employees
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse management operations. Must enjoy working in a fast-paced physical environment.
- Intermediate level use of Microsoft Office software or equivalent programs (e.g. Word, Excel).
- In depth understanding of shipping and transportation products and resources used and/or available.
Experience:
- 2+ years inventory experience in welding or industrial supply distribution preferred.
- General industry experience in a welding or industrial supply business also preferred.

- Participate in Departmental Meetings
- Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relationships with all MWSCO employees.
- Assist with other responsibilities as assigned

- Regularly required to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to move products or materials weighing 100+ pounds with the assistance of material handling equipment or coworkers.
Must have an in-depth understanding of shipping and transporting products. High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of shipping and/or receiving experience in welding or industrial supply distribution preferred.
