What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Delivering and selling welding-related products to loyal customers in your route area
  • Loading your truck with care, and safely managing deliveries to businesses or warehouses
  • Using your people skills to build strong relationships and help customers with what they need—right from the truck
  • Handling paperwork like invoices, order requests, and delivery confirmations
  • Listening to customer feedback and sharing it with the team so we can keep improving
  • Ensuring accurate pricing and safe cylinder exchanges each day
  • Rolling with changes—no two days are exactly alike!
What You’ll Need:
  • A valid Class B CDL with HAZMAT endorsement
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic

What You'll Do
As an Inside Sales Representative, you’ll play a key role in supporting our customers and keeping our branch running smoothly. You’ll:
Build relationships with customers, helping them find the right products and solutions to meet their needs
Partner with Branch Management and Outside Sales Representatives to process orders, schedule deliveries, and coordinate service calls
Prepare quotes and bids for projects involving welding equipment and supplies
Maintain an organized and welcoming showroom — including stocking shelves and setting up product displays
Assist with checking in freight and UPS shipments as needed
Serve as a back-up driver for our Winona Route Sales Representatives when necessary

Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) & Store Support Specialist | La Crosse, WI
Position Overview
MWSCO is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to join our team in a multifaceted role that combines Shipping & Receiving, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), and Inside Sales responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be adaptable to change, possess strong customer service skills, and work well with others. This position requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to support customers and coworkers across multiple functions.

Primary Duties
Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)
  • Pick, pack, load, and deliver product to customers.
  • Maintain established stock levels at customer locations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer personnel.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to customer questions and concerns.
  • Assist with operation and repairs of vending machines as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge to educate customers on industry products and standards.
Shipping & Receiving
  • Receive, verify, and organize incoming freight.
  • Process outgoing orders and product requests, including pulling orders for Route Sales Representatives and VMI Specialists.
  • Initiate and process product returns as needed.
  • Participate in cycle counting and inventory accuracy efforts.
  • Troubleshoot and follow up on transportation or shipping issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe Shipping & Receiving area.
  • Serve as a backup for other roles, including Inside Sales and VMI.
Inside Sales
  • Assist customers via phone, email, and in person with product inquiries, orders, and service needs.
  • Work with existing customers to actively sell products and services.
  • Leverage relationships to identify opportunities for growth and additional product sales.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality customer service and order accuracy.
Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong customer service mindset with a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Good math, problem-solving, and computer skills (MS Office proficiency required).
  • Ability to effectively identify customer needs and provide solutions.
  • Knowledge of welding/trades or industrial products preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in varied weather conditions and customer locations.
  • Frequent kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
Qualifications
  • Welding/trades or industrial supply distribution experience strongly desired.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work collaboratively with a team.
  • Class B CDL with HAZMAT endorsement (HAZMAT endorsement can be obtained in a reasonable time after hire).
