Sales

Inside Sales Representative | Winona, MN

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for performing effective inside sales activities as well as assisting with general business operations of the branch. The Inside Sales Representative assumes direct responsibility for providing outstanding customer service, initiating sales activity, and contributing to overall departmental success through effective management of internal and external customer relationships. Additional duties include maintaining stock levels, consulting and advising on customer needs, and conducting sales transactions independently.
Primary duties:

  • Present and explain products and services to customers and assist in meeting their needs through all stages of each sales transaction
  • Work with Branch Management and Outside Sales Representatives to establish delivery schedules, process orders, set up service calls and other tasks as required to meet the needs of all customers
  • Provide quotations and bids for projects or accounts requiring welding equipment
  • Set up showroom product displays, stock shelves and maintain general condition of the showroom
  • Check in freight/UPS as needed
  • Act as a back-up driver for the Marshfield Route Sales Representatives when necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Outside Sales Representative | Appleton, WI

Position Summary
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for an assigned territory of customers and assumes direct responsibility for providing outstanding customer service and initiating sales activity. Additionally, the Outside Sales Representative is responsible for contributing to overall company success through effective promotion and management of products and services within a variety of venues.

Educational/Skill Requirements
Two year associates or technical degree in welding or a business related field required or equivalent industry experience. Successful candidates will be proficient in Microsoft Office software or equivalent programs and enjoy working in a fast-paced physical environment.


Primary Duties
•Manage accounts in assigned sales territory as the customer’s primary MWSCO contact
•Promote MWSCO products and services
•Create and adhere to a sales plan to generate sales opportunities with-in existing and new companies in territory
•Promptly and professionally handle customer orders, provide quotes as requested, and resolve concerns that arise
•Collaborate with branch management to establish delivery schedules, service calls and other related tasks for customers

Driving

Route Driver | Rochester, MN

Position Objective

Ensure the correct, timely, and safe delivery and sale of MWSCO products to customers. Represent the company in a professional manner while interfacing with customers on product, delivery, pricing or related issues.
 

Primary Duties

• Gather and coordinate customer invoices, order requests, telephone and/or email messages regarding product delivery and route sales requirements.
• Load products in to vehicles efficiently and safely.
• Deliver products to customers and/or stock warehouses while abiding by load safety, DOT, TSA and general safe driving guidelines.
• Listen to customer needs and requests and actively sell from the truck using independent judgment and discretion to satisfy the customer. When necessary, provide feedback to store manager regarding customer concerns or problems with pricing, quality, credit or if there is a need for additional follow-up.
• Complete daily pick-up and drop off of cylinder products from the customer.
• Easily adapt to an ever-changing workday
• Ensure accuracy of cylinder exchange and hard goods pricing.

* Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement required. Hazmat endorsement can be obtained after hire.

MWSCO Driver | Winona, MN

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe and timely transportation of products.

• Maintain vehicles and equipment as needed.
• Adhere to commercial driver guidelines and regulations.
• Assist with other duties in the Fill Plant as required.
• Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination and working relations with all MWSCO employees

Other Requirements

• Current Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with hazardous material endorsement.
• Possession of or ability to obtain tanker endorsement also required.
• Two or more years driving experience preferred. Experience in a welding or industrial supply business also preferred.
• Excellent communication skills; exhibit strong commitment to serve both internal and external customers in a professional manner.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and move products or materials weighing 100+ pounds with the assistance of material handling equipment.
• Regularly lift 50 pound cylinders on/off skids as needed (manipulate/dead lift of weight).
• Frequent kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting.
• Regularly work outdoors under all weather conditions.

Travel and Scheduling Requirements

• Daily out of town travel to service the MWSCO market area.
• The ability to work 8 or more hours per day per business demand.
• Weekend work per customer and business demand.
• Out of town and overnight travel for customer projects per business demand.

Technical Services

Onsite Service Technician | La Crosse, WI

The Onsite Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment like welding power sources, plasma cutters, and automation systems at customer sites. They also ensure excellent customer service throughout the service, upgrade, or repair process, using judgment to meet customer needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of effective customer service within the technical services departments
  • Present and explain products and services to customers and assist in meeting their needs through all stages of each transaction
  • Ensure that customer questions and concerns are promptly and courteously resolved
  • Utilize telephone and email to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers on the status of repairs, services or upgrades
  • Explore and research new products and repair techniques to use within the technical services departments.
  • Attend service and automation schools as scheduled and as available
  • Follow MWSCO safety policies, procedures, and goals.

Educational Skills & Requirements
A degree in electronics technology preferred, or equivalent industry experience in electronics, automation or related. Thorough understanding of service department operations; currently possess or have the ability to obtain certification in the Miller, and Lincoln repair program within 12 months of position acquisition. Understanding of electrical theory, schematic reading, electro-mechanical systems, electrical component identification.2 years’ experience preferred in welding automation, industrial supplies business, manufacturing or metal fabrication as a repair technician with understanding of MIG, TIG, FCAW, Oxy/fuel.

Travel Requirements

Ability to travel the MWSCO territory as necessary. Overnight travel as needed for training and to fulfill customer needs.

Electronics Service Technician | Hudson, WI

The Electronics Service Technician is responsible for providing effective equipment or process troubleshooting and repair for welding power sources, plasma cutters, cutting tables and other related equipment. The Technician also assumes direct responsibility for providing outstanding customer service during each service, upgrade, or repair transaction from start to finish, using discretion and judgment to satisfy customer needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for effective equipment or process troubleshooting and repair with in the Service Department.
  • Responsible for all aspects of effective customer service within the Service Department.
  • Explore and research new products and repair techniques to use within the Service Department.
  • Interface with vendors
  • Follow through on part orders and resolve issues as they arise, e.g. miss-shipped orders
  • Work with existing customers to actively sell products and services
  • Follow MWSCO safety policies, procedures, and goals.

Educational Skills & Requirements

Degree in Electronics Technology preferred, or equivalent industry experience. Successful candidates will have an in depth understanding of electrical theory, schematic reading, electro-mechanical systems, electrical component identification. Intermediate level use of Microsoft Office software or equivalent programs (e.g. Word, Excel) required.

Physical Requirements
