Accounting
Position Summary
MWSCO is seeking a detail-oriented and team-focused individual to join our Accounting Department, with a focus on Accounts Receivable. In this role, you will contribute to the daily operations of the AR team, helping ensure timely billing, smooth workflow, and excellent service for both internal departments and our valued customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Support
- Monitor AR accounts and assist with resolving discrepancies and payment issues.
- Support the customer credit review process and assist with setting up new accounts.
- Help ensure compliance with sales tax requirements alongside the Finance Officer and Accounting Clerk.
- Contribute to specialized billing tasks and help maintain accurate records for large customer accounts.
Monthly Billing Assistance
- Assist in preparing for monthly Statement Day.
- Help compile and maintain the monthly collection letter list.
- Support billing efforts for new CO₂ accounts.
Cylinder & Pricing File Maintenance
- Review vendor cylinder rental counts and update pricing sheets as needed.
- Enter and update special pricing and rental rates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and cylinder files.
- Serve as a resource for cylinder-related data and documentation.
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Prior experience in an accounting, office support, or AR role is beneficial.
Skills:
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with data entry, AR/AP processes, collections, and general office systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Sales
What You'll Do:
- Developing strong relationships and becoming the go-to contact for customers
- Actively seeking out new business opportunities in your region
- Promoting MWSCO’s full line of products and services
- Creating and executing a personalized sales plan
- Providing quotes, placing orders, and responding to customer needs with professionalism and speed
- Coordinating with branch teams to schedule deliveries and service calls
- Staying current with product knowledge and offering demos and insights to customers
- Experience in outside sales and/or industrial or welding supply preferred — but not required if you’re motivated and eager to learn!
- A two-year associate’s degree in welding, business, or a related field – or equivalent hands-on industry experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (or similar software)

Fill Plant
Primary Duties:
- Sort and organize cylinders by product and size
- Receive and fulfill orders from MWSCO branches
- Inform management and coworkers of upcoming cylinder needs
- Communicate order or supply concerns to management to ensure accurate order fulfillment
- Organize cylinders according to store order, and secure on to skids
- Stage skids according to order and driver priority
- Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and move products or materials weighing 100+ pounds with the assistance of material handling equipment.
- Regularly lift 50 pound cylinders on/off skids as needed (manipulate/dead lift of weight).
- Manipulate full cryogenic liquid cylinders manually.
- Frequent kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting.

- Responsible for safe and timely transportation of liquefied gasses and related product.
- Ensure that internal and external customer questions and concerns are promptly and courteously resolved.
- Maintain vehicles and equipment as needed.
- Work closely with MWS stores, sales staff, and management to coordinate and communicate system installation and service related needs as needed.
- Must possess current Class B CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with hazardous material, tanker and air brakes endorsements and have a history of safe driving exhibited by state MVR.
- Basic knowledge of CO2 distribution system components and general processes are also a plus, as troubleshooting based on these is required.
- Excellent communication skills; professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
- Ability to successfully work with customers to identify unique installation or repair related needs.
- Ability to work proficiently with basic power and hand tools.
- Ability to independently conduct basic troubleshooting (understanding of mechanical systems, locating troubles, fixing basic problems).
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and move 100+ pounds with the assistance of material handling equipment.
- Regularly work outdoors under all weather conditions.
- Daily out of town travel to service the MWS market area.
- The ability to work 8 or more hours per day per business demand.
- Intermittent weekend work per customer and business demand.
- Out of town and overnight travel for customer projects per business demand.
- Pick, pack, load and deliver product to customers accordingly
- Maintain established stock levels at customer locations
- Maintain relationships with key customer personnel
- Ensure that customer questions and concerns are promptly and courteously resolved
- Assist with repairs and operations of vending machines as necessary
- Utilize telephone and email to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers
- Maintain a high level of MWSCO product knowledge in order to keep customers educated and informed on industry products and standards
- Work with existing customers to actively sell products and services
- Leverage relationships to grow sales within existing established customers
